Arnold is a journalist “report images”, with a couple of scoops for his credit... He prepares to leave, destination Sri Lanka, where there has been a 10 year war lead by the “tigers”, independent Tamils, and forgotten by the mediated world. But, at the last minute, he will have to renounce to his trip because ophtalmo is fatal : he could lose his sight if he does not cure it immediately. However, he could not let himself abandon the report. Leading others to think that he has gone, he closes himself up at home, with fridge stocked up and answering machine turned on...
